Justin Wolbert

Humanities Teacher

Hi all! My name is Justin Wolbert (Mr. W) and I am extremely excited to join the Kreiva Community. I have been working in schools in some capacity for the past 12 years. My area of specialization in college was studying the humanities and focusing on the Renaissance and the exquisite contributions of ancient Greece and Rome. I am thrilled to explore the vast oceans of the humanities with my students.

I was born and raised in South Jersey 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia, but when my family moved up to New Hampshire, we all fell in love with it.

My father (a social studies teacher), my mother, Mr. Morrison (AP Euro), and Mr. Patsos (Middle School History and Science) were extremely influential in leading me to my passion, which is teaching and learning. I am profoundly grateful to them. Some favorite moments of my education/educator career are winning a Writing Across the Curriculum Award for an epic poem I wrote for a college Roman History course. It used different poetic devices to tell the story of the influential Battle of Actium, a naval engagement between Octavian and the forces of Marc Antony and Cleopatra. My favorite moments working with my students were the experiences we've had with languages. Whether it's showing the relationships between Greek and English, deciphering hieroglyphics, or writing cuneiform into clay we always had a blast.
