May 21st Update
Updated: May 26, 2020
Kreiva Families,
I hope everyone is healthy and doing well as we near the end of the school year. I think I can speak for the entire staff when saying we miss our "in person" Kreiva community, we miss the face to face interaction with working with your children and we all look forward to the day when we can all see each other again.
On that note, we are finally beginning to see early discussions related to return to school policies for the fall. There is a lot of debate both nationally and here in the state of NH with regard to what a fall return will look like. To keep you aware, some of the issues under discussion range from:
Return to school Fall 2020 - What will reopening look like? Is it on site, will it still be a virtual environment, some combination of the two or something else?
School health/safety protocols - developing school health and safety protocols in the context of building capacity and design, staffing levels and training, student socio-emotional needs and effective educational delivery, visitor protocol.
School schedule design - how they can help support a safe learning environment
Transportation - What protocols and changes are needed to make public transport/ school buses service safe and efficient for students and drivers.
Special Education - How do schools best meet the individual learning needs of this student population
Emergency plans in the event of a localized, regional or statewide COVID-19 outbreak.
Assessments - State, SATs and internal- how to conduct safely
There will be a lot of information in the coming weeks and months as state government and health officials develop and begin to provide the necessary guidance to help us create as safe of a learning environment as possible for all of our students, families and staff. We continue to appreciate your patience and your own efforts in supporting your children's learning throughout this process.
Lastly, we have finally managed to get the bugs worked out of our new online system for re-enrolling existing students, adding siblings for next year and new enrollments. It has proven to be more of a challenge than expected. Please complete the re-enrollment process by June 5 as it helps us plan and ensure an enrollment slot to your child as we hope to see all of our students at Kreiva next year. I will be sending out multiple reminders in the coming days as well.
The link for re-enrollment is https://www.teacherease.com/. You would sign in to the Parent Portal as you normally would and you will see successive prompts directing you through the re-enrollment process. I have also attached a step by step by step breakdown of the process with screen shots for those that may need it. You will also have a few fillable PDF forms that are required as part of the re-enrollment process and should be emailed to Lisa Cohen at lcohen@kreiva.org.
If you have any questions about the re-enrollment process or are having issues with the PDF forms, please contact Lisa by email or you may leave a voicemail at (603) 232-7974 ext 101.
