Kreiva Announcements (9/21-9/25)
I can’t believe we are already about to close out the month of September. Time seems to be flying by quicker than normal as we work under what is the new normal. Our students and staff are settling into a weekly rhythm. Let’s hope things continue on this path with regard to minimal Covid disruptions but in the event they do, we are prepared and will pivot as needed.
On a very important note, October is the month that schools across the state submit documentation to the State Government regarding household income levels of our students. This information is used at the state level to calculate Adequacy Aid and Charter School Tuition Aid to individual schools. In simple terms this information helps us receive substantial supplemental financial aid from the state to help provide the services and support that are necessary for the quality education our students deserve and have a right to. As charter schools are underfunded in comparison to our public school counterparts, this additional aid is critical in our efforts to support the needs of our students.
Please take the time to complete the attached form and have it returned to the front office. We will also be following up with additional emails, phone calls and friendly reminders to encourage completion. Though this form is voluntary, the information is crucial especially in these Covid impacted budget times. We are aiming for 100% completion. Your help on this will be most appreciated. Thank you.
