Health Office Update

Good morning Kreiva community!

Hope everyone's first few weeks are off to a good start!

With back to school comes all of those dreaded illnesses we hope do not come into our homes. I am providing information and resources on Head Lice, Covid-19 and Influenza. All 3 of which have reared their ugly heads here at Kreiva this school year.

We are asking that if your child is sick, please keep them home until they are fever free without fever reducing medication for 24 hours. Report all illness related absences to the following email address: attendance@kreiva.org. Please include your students name, symptoms your student is experiencing and any relevant testing. This information helps us to move forward with any required reporting.

For head lice, we ask that no soft items come into the school building for the time being. This includes but is not limited to blankets, stuffed animals etc. All soft items from the involved classrooms have been removed and treated. Our health office is also available for head checks of students if you want.

As far as Covid-19 goes, we have a limited number of rapid tests here at school for students to be tested.

We also have a new partnership with Convenient MD. They have provided Kreiva with low to no cost school physical vouchers as well as Immunization vouchers, which include the flu vaccine.

As always, if you have any questions, or want your students checked or tested, please reach out to Kylene Normandin at Knormandin@kreiva.org.
